The Senior Network Architect is a high-level technical expert supporting a major government-led IT refresh project. You'll lead the design, build, and enhancement of network infrastructure that connects offices, services, and systems, ensuring it's secure, reliable, and future-ready. This role is part of a government infrastructure planning team responsible for replacing outdated technology and supporting the strategic planning and maintenance of critical IT systems. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement secure, scalable network architectures for enterprise infrastructure programs Develop high-level and detailed solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud, and data centre environments Ensure designs are efficient, secure, and meet scalability requirements Provide expert advice on network technologies and integration strategies Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors to align solutions with business needs Create clear technical documentation and support plans Align network designs with enterprise security policies, technical standards, and lifecycle management plans KEY REQUIREMENTS Technical Experience 10 years experience in networking – designing and maintaining large networks. Must have experience with multiple network brands/vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc. Experience supporting large infrastructure refresh projects or new ICT builds. Strong knowledge of: WAN/LAN Cloud networking (Azure/AWS) Network security (segmentation, firewalls, VPN). Data centre and wireless infrastructure Certifications / Qualifications Network certifications like CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent preferred. Must hold or be eligible to obtain: NV1 Security Clearance Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check WHS certifications like White Card, Asbestos Awareness, Silica Safety APPLY NOW!
